Overview

Abyssal Pioneer is a browser game with no accounts and no sign-up. To function, it stores a small amount of data in your browser, on your device. One optional analytics tool runs only if you consent to it. We don’t sell your data, serve ads, or build advertising profiles. This policy covers what’s stored, who it’s shared with, and how to manage your choices.

Essential storage

These run by default, because the game can’t function without them. They live in your browser’s local storage, on your device. They are not cookies, and they are not transmitted to us or any third party:

• Your progress and decoded reads, so a scene resumes where you left off.
• Your display preferences, so the interface stays as you set it.
• Your cookie choice, so you aren’t prompted on every visit.

The site also uses cookieless, aggregate measurement (via Vercel) for visit counts and page performance. It sets no cookies and does not identify you individually.

This storage does not require consent. You can clear all of it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

Analytics: Microsoft Clarity

If you consent, the game loads Microsoft Clarity. Clarity is a session-analytics tool: it records how the interface is used (clicks, taps, scrolling, cursor movement) and builds heatmaps, so we can find where the experience confuses people and improve it. This is session recording, not only visit counting.

Clarity sets two cookies (_cs_id and _cs_c) and sends this interaction data to Microsoft, which processes it on our behalf as a data processor. Microsoft may process it outside your country, including in the United States, under its own safeguards and terms: privacy.microsoft.com/en-us/privacystatement.

Clarity does not run, and sets no cookies, until you select Accept. If you reject or later withdraw consent, it stops and its cookies are cleared.

Your choices

• Accept or reject analytics from the banner shown on your first visit.
• Change or withdraw your consent at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer. Withdrawing consent stops Clarity and clears its cookies.
• Clear all stored data, essential storage included, by clearing this site’s data in your browser.

If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to access, correct, or delete the data held about you, to object to its processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Because analytics runs only with your consent and there are no accounts, little data is ever tied to you. To make a request, contact us through “Send a signal” on the site.
